I'm gonna have my type-r grill installed soon with black mesh on the back and I'm thinking about putting this emblem on it... I guess centered. Thoughts? Or should I just go with the ACCORD emblem, or no emblem at all?

Uhhhhh the Accord Type R was never a coupe

Just go with Accord only emblem if your gonna do that though the coupe on it would look :ghey:

 

Actually the coupe isn't even sold in Japan if I remember right....doesn't sell well.

 

The Accord Coupe was sold awhile back in Japan and yes, it did not sell well, that's why they have mostly sedans. BTW, if you're interested, I have that exact emblem that I ordered from Options Auto Salon. At the time I ordered it, it was out of stock. Had to wait 3 months to get it. In any case, I just took it off and am selling it. Email me if you're interested. All you have to do is get some double sided sticky tape and put it on. I've remounted a lot of emblems with tape before. I can do it for a small price.

btw, the Accord Coupe emblem you're looking at *IS* in fact JDM. Wish I had the original packaging...in any case best of luck in your project.

 

Well technically the grill I will have isn't Type-R. It is a home made Mugen style grill, w/out the emblem mount of course. Either way, I'm just wondering if that would look any good. I'm not worried about the black backing because my mesh will be black.

 

i know u cant see it too well... but i guess it'll give u an idea


i personally prefer it without an emblem. but if u must, put the regular accord emblem on.
