Default '99 power door locks are acting up

the power door locks on my 99 are doing crazy things. sometime the doors will not unlock, sometimes the open right up. sometimes they will not lock, usually they do no problem. then today, with the car running and all door unlocked, I got out to put something in the trunk. I closed driver's door behind me (with car running). when I went to open it all the locks immediately locked. I was locked out with the car running! luckily I had spare key.

what is wrong with my door locks???

Is it factory or after market door locks? I think I know what it is but that makes a difference.

Check your key FOB. Remove the battery and leave it like that. See if the issue replicates.

I'm thinking your keychain is busted or is freaking out.
