i just bought a 94 accord. and it was running fine then about a day later i was driving it. and it got this horrbile knocking sound some ppl say it is common? some say i need a new motor? cause anyone fill me in? what should i do?

I would say any knock isnt normal. Is it more of a 'hard' knock or a 'ticking' sound?

 

engiene noises are basically bigger clearance between mechanincal parts.

possible cause could be a bad knock sensor (this controls timing to eliminate or reduce knocking) if this is working, then might be a rod knock which requires taking apart your motor and rebuilding it. sorry buddy
