no but if you dont aim them down you will blind on comming traffic. Driving lights are suggested to be used only with your brights

Thats not right according to the instructions i got with my kit. Driving are supposed to be aimed 2 inches below the center line, just like your headlights. Its spotlights that are only supposed to be used with your brights because they aren't aimed down.

Wow silverstar bulbs are expensive, the cheapest i have seen is $50 for 2 singles, is that a good deal?
