All I know is some cars can get the timing belt changed with nothing removed, and some need the engine lifted. But my 96 has 65,000 miles and even though it is 90,000 miles before I should change it. I probably won't reach that mileage until 2006. So I think I'll change it at 75,000 miles. Cause I hate to see what kind of damage belts can do if it happen to come off or break.

More like you gotta support the engine when you take off the engine mount from the middle of the belt.
