Default Need help!

I have a 91' Accord, 4door. Auto-trans. The auto stick has an unlock slot beside it. When car is in park the shifter lever will not depress to unlock the trans. I have to unlock it manually ( ie; auto stick unlock slot ). Has anyone experience this before and/or have a fix.

There's a break pedal activated solonoid in there that unlatches and lets you shift out of park.

Look around your break pedal and make sure those stupid plastic plugs are there that the switches use to make contact. They always break. I just replaced mine with a penny and epoxy.

If those are okay then remove the console and make sure the solonoid has not become unpluged.

If everything is plugged in ok and the plastic things on the pedal check out then take a multimeter to test the solonoid.
