Default no start please help!

hey guy,
i got an on and off problem, it would start for a couple days but run ruff, then the next few it wont start (turn over all the way) no spark at all. could the ignitor work one day and not the other? could it be the ignitor? i already checked the wires, cap, rotor, plugs.

thanks,
joe

Sounds like what was happening to my car last week. Turns out i needed a new starter. My car would start fine one moment, and then i would try to start it again, and nothing would happen. If your car doesn't start, try having someone tap the starter while you try to start the engine. Hope this helps!

Check your fuel pressure.

could be the main solinoid. When you turn the keys to the main position do u hear hum under the dash? The hum is the main solinoid. It sends information to start the fuel lines i guess. I had that problem with my prelude when the weather got really hot. The solder expanded in hot weather and would not relay the electrical response. I just resodered all the points and it works perfectly now

Actually, I heard from a mechanic when i took my car in for a new starter, that the hum that is heard when the keys are turned is the fuel pump itself.
