real high performance are noisy, but the AEM pads aren't real high performance pads. probably need to take them out and use more of that brake quiet stuff or make sure the shims are installed properly. i have aem pads up front and they are quiet.

I've got Powerslot rotors w/ Axxis Metalmaster pads and they are a lot noisier than stock. But, they also stop a lot quicker than stock

Pads are the best and cheapest way to quickly update your braking power. Don't go for anything too extreme, AEM's are pretty good.

I had to get new rotors. I warped mine. Everytime I stepped on the brake, it was like holding on to a jackhammer

Are you guys using the anti-squeel lube and the backing shims? My EBC pads made a lot of noise until I took them off and put the shims and lube on.
and IMO AEM are by far the best compromise between high performance and streetablitly even though they are not a true high performance pad. They did their homework.

Oh and just FYI, stay away from EBC.... greenstuff sucks.
Anyone running Hawk pads? Tirerack has them for a decent price.

I've heard good things about hawks. Are u using red stuff? How are those working out? BTW, Greenstuff gives a funky brake feel and they eat the hell out of your rotors.

i'm running on some hawk hps. they're real nice. intial bite is very nice. only prob is that they dust like crazy!!! took a 2k road trip and shit my front rims were full of dust. other than that very nice brakes, makes me wonder how long they'll last.

I'm using greenstuff pads that I got for what I though was an awesome deal, $30 brand new. I hate them.... they DO give you a weird spongy, pulsating brake feel.... and they seem to fade soooooooo much sooner than the powerstop/AEM's i had before...I had a hard time getting those to fade though except on really hot summer days.....but the EBC's seem to be wearing well.... and not eating the rotors.... I have powerslots though so i dunno what they'd do to OEM rotors.... but heed my advice STAY AWAY from EBC!!!

even though they chewed up the OEM rotors I had at the time the Axxis MM pads I had 4 years ago were so much better than the EBCs... but the AEM's were the best I've had....

I think I'm going to get hawk hps's in a few months based on your opinion d21x.... so if they suck I'm blaming you and sending you my EBC pads....that's the worst I could come up with
