In the process of making my DIY grill for 5th gen
And i finished cutting out the bar and everything, and i bondoed the whole thing up, molding the front piece to the back piece, and power sanded the thing as best i could... since i couldnt sand it by hand.... and so now i need some kind of putty to smooth out the surface and fill in small imperfections, and level out the surface..... is there such thing? Because using bondo on these last stages wouldnt work good IMO.... I need something more putty like, and less goey..
Any ideas?
thanks
Sean
I can post pics if you guys want.. it doesnt look to good yet. hopefully it will turn out ok.
Dont be afraid... it doesnt look that bad. :fawk:

I guess it would be nice to know what it is you are making so a product could be recommended.

Oh then use the 3m red putty for that..easy to work with and more solid than bondo.

Its a red putty but if you go to an auto store and ask about it they should know what it is.
