Default car running really hot and idleing high?

hey guys, the other day, i noticed my car was running really hot and idleing kinda high. the temp guage is actin wierd, its not stayin at one temp for very long. sometimes its at the red line and then drops down. also, the car has been idlein higher than normal. usually its at like 700 rpms but now at like 11 or 1200. really wanna figure this out before somethin happens. thanks.

check everything from your temp sensor to coolant. Your car should never run close to red. Take it too someone before your blows.

you might just be low on coolant. you checked that yet?? because sometimes that will result in a jumpy temp. gauge.

Hope you figure it out.

1) check coolant
2) might be thermostat
3) check hoses
4) flush cooling system and check radiator for cracks

Your problem could be cause by many different things..
So replace the cheapest things you can think of..
One of the member had over heating problem and
it was radiator cap... Good luck!
