Default Supercharger on H22....

Ok. I saw in a mag (Jegs to be exact) that Jackson Racing has a Supercharger for the H22A. it says its for the 97+ would this work on the H22 92-96 that we all put in our 4th gen Accords?

Here is the link for more info

Thanks

I just called Jackson and they said its for the H22A4 So when I order from Osaka I'llhave to tell them that I want the H22A4 97-01. the damn SC cost more then the motor.

I remember reading several discussions on supercharging an h22 in an accord. The main problem that made it very impractical as opposed to a turbo is that basically a supercharger wouldn't fit in the accord engine bay without serious modificiations to it. Something like extending the entire firewall or something like that.

Well, I dont know I havent seen any pics of a Supercharged H22 in an Accord. but from comparing the pics of the H22 stock, and the H22 with the SC it looks about the same size.

I dont know. hell I may never get the damn SC its almost $4000. But I think I am going to ask for the 97-01 H22A4 just fro the hell of it.ANyone know of a good Turbo to put on it if the SC dont work?

I'd have to suggest that you get the H22 put in then decide later if its necessary to get a turbo...

for a turbo how about the GREDDY TD05/TD06H-18G

i don't think there are that many turbos for the h22
but you can get one from FMAX
I'm trying to find an A'PEXi one, they have a lot of electronics for the h22 but i can't find a turbo application by them
there is a DRAG turbo kit for the 92-96 and 97-00, but this kit requires modification(.)

if i find anything else i'll let you know

ok the only reason that a jrsc is only for 97+ has nothing to do with the engine, but rather the engine bay. if a 5th gen prelude owner happened to get an h22a1 or jdm h22 for whatever reason, they could still use the supercharger cause they have the room. but it wont fit in a 4th gen lude or any accords. 1 person has actually fit it into a 4th gen lude, so maybe theres hope, but the cost of everything necesary to do is not worth it.

the SC wont fit in teh accord engine bay without modifications. for one the nose of the accord is shorter so there isnt enough room to clear the firewall and second ur hood wont close since the SC sits higher up.. this is true for the 4th and 5th gen not sure about the 6th and up
