205k, stick. About 1000 miles ago, car sat for over a year waiting for job to get done. R&R water pump, timing & drive belts, oil pan, battery. Alternator was frozen, but worked it loose. (took it out going up!) But had to replace when it froze up again. Ran ok. Then weather started to get cold and it ran rough until it warmed up. Then it got to where it wouldn't start. Gapped the plugs, got spark, got compression, got fuel pumpin into carb. Can smell gas on plugs. Tries to catch when cranking w/ accelerator pushed in. Replaced one vacuum hose w/ hole in it. Others look ok. Plugs/cap/rotor are about 30k old. I'll try new plugs next.
Any suggestions???

Could there be a lot of water in the gas? If it's been sitting that long, it's a possibility.

 

Maybe, but it did run good for 1k miles. If there is water in the gas, do I syphon it out?

 

MasterChris: what does mean "H22"?

 

Replaced plugs, pulled & looked at main fuel relay (it looks just fine), found that fuel pump runs almost 1 sec w/ ignition on. Still no start.
