I just recently bought my 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe and i just emptied my first tank of gas and i know i was drving it conservatively with ALL rpms under 3k at all times and i got a shytty 230miles on the full tank. I've seen people getting 300-400miles to the tank on modified V6s. I know my car can get at least another 70 miles out of it but there's something wrong with my car, and i dont know what. What do you think it is? What should i do? Oh, BTW, i do 75%city/25%highway driving.

How many miles to the tank are you getting in your accord? Please specify if you have the I4 or the V6.

 

do a search for gas mileage.

 

yea do a search. But sometimes thinks like a dirty air filter bad o2 sensor, etc. will also cause bad gas mileage and poor performance.

I get about 250 -275 all city driving. I have an I4. It also depends, I think on the grade, I usually get premium (mid grade) and then switch to super in the spring time. I get about the same, maybe a little more than 275.

 

waste of $$. ull get better milage with 87. same goes for the v6.

i used to only get 16/17mpg in the city on my 5g ex auto.

take the miles u get on the tank and divide it by the amount of gallons u fill up with to get the mpg. dont expect to get more than ~22mpg if u drive mostly city.
