Default water leakage thru sunroof. Yours?

Today, i noticed that water was coming in through the front of the sunroof when its closed. I freaked out, but after examining closely, i also found a collector that appears to be collecting all the water that comes in. Is that normal?? it just rained and the collector seemed like it was doin its job of collecting the leaked water. Any same experiences? Thanks.

just get a CO2 can "DUST BLOWER" that they sell at FRY's(ELETRONIC STORE) and give it a blow it will blow all the crap out. I would guess you use your sunroof alot and stuff like dirt and maybe wax might clog it. I think that hole is there when you leave your sunroof open and water comes in and it will collect it there. Usually when your sunroof is closed the rubber housing around the glass keeps all the water out. I would check if there any rip around that rubber.

Yes, if you want to get technical. Anyway, I haven't had any problems with mine so far and it's a 93.

yeah, you should just have to clean out the drainage holes. i don't think a canned-duster will work, because there needs to be a LOT of air pressure getting forced into the drainage pipe. what i used was an electric tire pump, with one of the attachments for a beach ball or something it worked, but only when i figured out i had to create a seal around the drainage hole and the pump... if there's some air leaking out, you'll all the pressure.

i think i figured out why my drainage holes kept getting plugged. i used to leave the sun/moon roof open a crack when i parked, for ventilation. well when i park under trees and stuff (which i did a lot), **** would fall in there. ever since i stopped doing that, i haven't had a problem

hahahaha I rest my case :fawk:
Second guess: Sun roof can tilt and when open is hidden into the roof of the car.

I wouldnt use a high pressure air, you can damage the drain hole but if it works good JOB:thumbup:
