Default Getting new car

This weekend. My brother was involved in a accident in another person's car. So as a family desion, We might be giving my car to the owner of the car in the accident. So it leaves me with nothing to drive. So I might be getting a new car. We were thinking something 20 grand and under new and if used, low miles and barely used. So, here is my options so far:

2000 Integra Type-R(perforably white or black)
2002 RSX Type-S(white or black)
2002 Civic SI(white or black)
2000 Civic SI(blue)
2003 Civic EX 5-speed (honda lowered, 17 inch wheels, custom leather.) For 15,595.(Black)

Those are what I have thought of so far that is going to be realistic for me to keep and modifie. One of the reasons I picked the first 4 is because over the years, I have watched my dad buy the cars with the crappy engine, and now we are not going to make this mistake any more, so I chose those first 4th for the engine really. and the 5th one for the great deal...

The main reason I put the Type r on there is because, Im used to that engine format. You know, Headers in the front, Intake manifold in the back, Cam gears on the side. Pretty easy engine to work with. And the RSX and the SI seem like they will be difficult with the new engine format.

Also, This will be a car for myself and my dad will drive it at some times. The car will be purchased together. Dont think im banking this with my dad. This will be a decision for myself and him, just trying to get some feedback and thoughts from you guys to help me settle this. Thank you guys. and thank god my brother made it out ok....

your best option up there is the civic ex if you care about resale value... but the "custom leather"...

Well...The custom leather is black/grey. The car is grey, 4-door, with some cheap rims. But its ok...

I will be modifing what ever I get...

I see... they all sound cool but I'd get the Teg or the RSX.

Yes, true..I really dont think anybody on this site will ever understand myself and my whole life growing up. I got into imports at 11 because of my brother. I was going to car shows at 12 and always was thinking about cars. My parents gave him now my 1996 honda accord and My brother modfied it lightly and it ended up being left to the side to me right when I turned 14. I tried to modfie it as much as I could. And I have big plans for this car. But right now, my brother and family are in bad situation. So lets just leave the age thing off to the side and get back to the orignal question....

lol well all those are good choices for power/handiling issues but if you really want to stand out even though its only a 2 seater try for the del sol vtec, with the gear ratios tampered with it makes for one fast and comfortable ride!

I agree...That would be sweet to have a del sol.But the only reason I put the 00 SI in there and the 00 type-R in there because they are only 3 years old. one of the reasons I am getting rid of the accord is because, not sure if air bags actully work, axel may be damaged. The car has been through so much, and my dad really does not want to purchase a old car(kinda weird). So if I can find a good price on any of the cars above and in good condtion. we are set...Thanks...(If I could get another old used car before 95 I would probaly get a old teggy).

i would got with the rsx from your list.

SInce you sound like you enjoy modding having a fast car, is there a reason you have not put anything other than honda/acura? You could probably find a used wrx for under 20k, also the new dodge neon srt 4 is around 20k and they are both fast cars stock and will be pretty easy to mod.
