Default i did my 9005 conversion

i just modified the bulbs (silverstars) however i never had to do any work to the base, just the insude where the plug is. anyhow it was very easy and took maybe 10 minutes. they will go in the car this evening when hopefully i will have pics to post.

good job . The only Pain in the A** i had was opening the knob. They're hard like crazy, so it's very hard to turn it open

im kinda skerred tho, i modified my stock high beams into the low beams not even a week ago, and when i looked at them today trhey were black and bubbled.

i hope the silverstars wont go the same way.

did you touch the bulbs when you did it to the stocks ones, that is usually the cause of premature failure

Yeah, don't touch the bulb with your fingers. The oil on your hands will get on them and cause the blackeing and bubbles. If you happen to touch the glass by mistake take some rubbing alcohol and wipe the bulb down before hooking it up.

thats what i thoiught.
im not sure if i touched the bulbs or not but i made sure to rub the silverstars with alcohol anyways before i instanned them.
