Default 3.2 and 3.0 V6 similarities?

For those of you familiar with Hondas past and present V-6 engines, i have a few questions that need to be answered for an upcoming project. First off, what V-6 was in the 5th gen accord.....the 2.7? or 3.0? I've been thinking it was the 3.0L, but i could be wrong(have only dealt with the 4's till now). Next, does anyone know how close, if any, the motor mounts are on a 3.0L and 3.2L? What was the difference on the front end of a 94-97 accord 4 as compared to a 94-97 bodystyle V-6? I heard a long time ago that there was a slight difference in the front end length?? only heard that once though so i have no idea if it is true. Basically what i'm looking for is some info on the V-6 interchangeability in the 5th gen accord. Working with a 94 accord and looking to see how much out of the way(fabbing work), would have to be done to swap a 3.2 CL-S w/6spd into this vehicle. I've not saw it done so far and i know that the 3.2 has a lot more potential ponies than the H22. Any info or V6 educational sites would be appreciated. Thanks

P.S- No, not just a stock V-6 swap is what's going to be done here, there's more....

ok, well nevermind about the engine size. Just read around for a while and found it's a 2.7L. So let me change my questions from above to ask how close the 2.7L and the 3.2L are as far as motor mounts?

i don't think they're close. old non vtec v6's (the 2.7 in the 1st gen legend/5th gen accord and 3.2 in 2nd gen legend/1st gen TL)
were mounted longitudinally mounted. the new vtec v6's (tl, cl, accord) are mounted sideways. maybe u could ask a mechanic?

also, the 5th gen v6 front end was like 3-4 inches longer than the i4 front end.

thers a 5g v6 accord with a j30 motor in LA somewhere... my roomate's friend's shop did it..... the c27 and j30 mounts are pretty similar...

the 1g cl3.0 had a j30 motor in it, and since it was based off the 5g accord, i can only assume that the parts u would need would be there. the j30 and j32 blocks are pretty much the same on the outside.

on another note... im surprised i havent seen many 1g cl front ends on v6 5g accords.... looks like it would bolt straight on

The c27 and j30 are 2 completly different motors... and the mounts are nothing alike.

A 1st gen CL would be the right source of parts for putting a j30 in a 5th gen accord, a j32 will take more work as there is more to the motor.

You'll want to start with a 5th gen V6 sedan though, as the whole front end of the car is longer to acomodate the larger motor.

Thanks guys!! Does anyone have a spec guide which shows the overal length of the frontend in a 4 compared to the 6? Was the length in the unibody frame or was it just that the radiator and front support were moved forward more? I know that to put a 20B engine into an RX-7, you must move the radiator and support forward, so hopefully this will be the same in the accord(as opposed to frame work). The car we are working with is a 4 from the factory, so it's going to make it tough. Where might i find pics of the accord V-6 engines? need a 5th gen accord V-6 and a new CL-S. Any pics showing the engine bays of these engines would be helpful. Motor mounts and axles i don't think will be a problem as i can have them made, my concern is the size of the engine in the cramped 4cyl engine bay. Custom headers are no problem, except when the headers have to be made restrictive in order to fit. Any help on this would be appreciated, especially a V-6 comparison website if it exists. Thanks......
