i was doing my 9005 conversion and i needed to install three o-rings to get it to fit in snug. anyhow in the process i think i accidentally touched the bulb with my winger when moving the ring.

is it safe to clean the bulbs? ive been told that i can use a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and this will work

any suggestions?

I would use a clean soft cloth and rubbing alchohol.

 

what about an alcohol pad?

 

alcohol eats away the enamel on glass... causes it to turn hazy...

Now that's a new one. I thought glass was made of glass, not enamel.

Alcohol, Acetone and other organic compounds may cause plastics to haze (car headlights for example) but you'll be fine with using alcohol on glass.

 

You touched the bulb with your winger?:ugh:

Next time use a condom but this time you can clean it off with rubbing alcohol.
