Default Magnaflow Exhaust

I am interested in getting a magnaflow cat-back exhaust system for my 2000 4-cyl. accord coupe. One of my local shops can install this for 250 bucks. I was interested in getting a dual exhaust conversion though, which costs roughly 200 bucks more. Is it worth is to get the dual exhaust conversion? I know it prob doesnt even add more hp, just for looks. Does the magnaflow exhaust sound different with two mufflers than it would with one?
Which should i get?

as for the performance it will decrease torque because there is less backpressure which will feel like the car will lag. it looks pretty good but i havent heard the system so i dont know bout that

friend had a dual magnaflow on his ford focus and i thought it was way too loud. I could hear him from a block away, and now, he wants to sell it cause its too loud. He has 2 18" resonators in there on each section, and its still that loud. Jschmid also told me that his magnaflow was obnoctiously loud at fwy speeds when he had the 18" resonator. I wouldnt go for magnaflow, but thas just me. They make good stuff for trucks i think.

very nice quality, but loud. same as with thermal r&d since magnaflow makes their mufflers.

Oh god I have a Magnaflow Race series muffler with custom mandrel bent piping for the cat back... 2.25 inch. No resonators and its loud as hell. I like it but not everyone else likes loud like I do. My friends hear me coming from blocks away when I go to their house lol. As far as dual its less torque and a lot more expensive so DEFINITELY not worth it just for the look... plus I personally don't like how two massive mufflers look on the back of a car.

My biggest advice... If you think there is any way you can afford a Greddy EVO or something really nice like that... THEN GET IT. There is one main problem with my Magnaflow... For the first 5 minutes of driving or so when my car is warming up... my exhaust pops at high rpms before it shifts... I hate that and its so embarrasing I usually let my car idle for a while before taking off haha. Now I really wish i had spent 450 or so on a EVO rather than this 250 on my Magnaflow.

i also have magnaflow, granted it isnt the race series like one of the previous guys. i think it sounds good, i have 2.5" catback w/ 18" resonator. at highway speeds, its not too bad. if u have the radio on, u can barely hear it.

they would need to be cut out and pipe will need to be welded in. don't do it, it will be way too loud.

I almost agree with you 99accord... I am kinda unhappy with mine... like I said, now I wish I had spent the extra cash on an EVO or something nice like that. And the resonator isnt in the muffler on the Magnaflows... its in your piping... I had the option of getting one or not getting one when they made my exhaust piping... with a resonator you have like 1-2 less HP so I told them to leave it off haha. God its so loud. I listen to music very loud and can still hear my exhaust over it. And if you do get one... the race series is a lower and deeper sound than the street series...
