yea, all my friends, including me are dropped with stock shocks and those guys have been lasting for 60k miles and more. It will be fine, esp with a mild drop like 1.5 inches.

You will have almost a 50-50 split of opinions on this one. I was going to drop mine (decided on the sound system next instead) and I planned on stock shocks for awhile. Most people said it would be okay, others had stories of blown shocks after a few days. I don't know. If you're gonna drop it either way, maybe you should start on stock and if there's a problem, then go to perfomance. :dunno:

It's not gonna hurt anything besides your ride quality, but if you are going for handling and not just "the look" I'd definately think about swapping them out for some performance struts eventually. I personally would never drop a car on stock struts, kinda seems like a half arse job to me, but it shouldn't hurt anything til you can afford some nice struts.
