Default Good Paint Job?

Hey All!

I have a 2000 Accord Sedan and since I do highway driving on occasion, I have chipped paint on the front of my hood, the front area of the side fenders and my bumper has gone to hell. Is it worth is to strip the paint off and get it redone? BTW, my paint color is Emerald Green Pearl and it looks sweet whenever I wash and wax it. :-D

How much would it cost to get these areas repainted?

My last and probably most important question: Is there any good places to get my car painted around the Dallas-North Dallas area?

i would say no, unless you plan on using a half nose mask afterward for high driving. otherwise you'll paint and it'll just happen again.

i have no clue on cost, but i would guess like $400.

Look into getting a clear bra when you get it repainted. Not even noticable to the naked eye. X-Pel makes one. Search google for them.

Wow...that clear bra is sweet...but does it ever come off? Hmm...

Who could install those pieces for me?

Also...is my bumper salvagable as in it can be stripped, sanded down and repainted again?

Thanks for the replies guys...

i wouldnt do it unless you plan on using some kind of protection on the front end afterward, because like others said, it will just ahppen again. clear bra sounds good.

Hey 96jdm. I'm here because of school. I go to UTD and live on campus. :-D I don't know a lot of places around here to get stuff done to my car, but I do go to ConceptRacing in Plano to get most of my installs. Where is Intercrew at and how good are they?

Hey..Thats cool..They are ok. But I was to young back then to remeber the prices if they were good or not. But a place you really need to visit is Jotech motorsports. Not sure if you are aware of Professional Drag Racing. But Kenny Tran races for them. Its a really nice shop.
Also, I love your engine bay, its really clean. Do you have a full ignition kit? or just the wires? THanks..

I went out last night with a friend to visit Jotech in Garland. It's kinda in the ghetto (hehe) but it seems like a pretty big shop. There's also a paint and body work shop next to it and on the far end there's a transmission shop. So they have like the whole nine yards when it comes to auto.

I'm gonna call them up to see how much it'll cost me to get my exhaust installed that way I can also visit the shop and take a look around.

Thanks for the complement on my engine bay. It's not really much yet but it's getting there. I only have the wires and plugs...no ignition kit yet. Would it help getting that MSD ignition kit, though? I always wondered about that...

Haha...the heat is actually gone. It's freezing down here! I want the heat back now....can't believe I'm saying that.

Thanks for the Jotech suggestion...I will definitely check it out. Maybe if you know anyone there I can mention you and get a little hook-up.
