Here's the update for the CA vehicle code.
CAVC 24953(a): Turn signal lamps, white or amber to front, red or amber to rear.
There ya go, Cali peeps. Thank goodness, too. I just got some hyperwhite bulbs for my front corners and bumpers, haha
