Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has heard what the tanabe racing medallion sounds like on our cars. I have a 5th gen accord ex by the way. I was thinking about getting this exhaust but I have not heard it firsthand so I am a little hesitant. I do not want to get one of those high pitched whiny exhausts. I want to get as deep and throaty exhaust as possible for a honda. I do not mind it being loud although it doesn't have to be. I just want it to sound as deep as possbile considering the car that I have and avoid that whiny go-kart sound. Thanks in advance guys. I tried searching but didn't come up with a def answer so any firsthand help is greatly appreciated.

 

I haven't heard the tanabe, but FYI, there's a group buy for the Apexi WS over in the RPMMOTORING.COM forum on here, which is the exhaust pretty much everyone in here points to when somebody asks what a good sounding exhaust is. Ya know, just in case ya missed it.

the TRM is loud as hell and imo is ugly, the apexi n1 is it's competition and that is way nicer looking and i think sounds better too. a dealer i know who sells tanabe described their sound as "raped monkeys"

like gibson said go for the apexi ws, loud exhuasts aren't cool anymore unless your on a track.

 

I don't know if TRM is the same as tanabe medallion, but I will probably get to hear it from this guys gsr this weekend. If so I will tell you what that sounds like even though its not the same car.

the TRM is tanabe racing medallion, there is also the tanabe hyper medallion is which is quiet like a apexi ws.

 

trm sounds like a fart can, esp with the silencer in. i wanted one 'till i heard it

 

lol thanks for the quick replies guys. I guess I am gonna check out something from apexi. Any other opinions are welcome still though but I am def trying to avoid an exhaust that is overly loud which is what everyone is seeming to say so far. Thanks again!!!!!
