Default 6th gen window trim

Does anyone have any ideas for making the window trim on my 6th gen coupe flat black instead of chrome? I'm terrified of pulling it off, but I also wouldn't want to paint it on the car. Ideas?

There are screws that connecting the trim on the door but last time i checked the trim that is connected on the buttom of the window is welded to the door. It would be best if you use newspaper and some masking tape and mask off the areas you dont want to paint. I dont know if you should sand down the trim and spray a primer then the color you want with a clear coat. Do more research on painting on "crome" plastic?
