i was driving today and my front panel kept shuting off then on. but my car itself never turned off and on. the engine light is lit and staying lit.

anyone know what the problem might be?

i am still able to drive and turn on the car.

yeah.

update. the car shuts off and on for a split second. gages, gage lights, and radio turn off, basically whole car shuts off for a split second. then the engine light stays lit.
it is not consistent though. it doesnt happen all the time. if it doesnt happen often the engine light eventually shuts off.

i dont want to take it to the dealership because if its running correctly and that doesnt happen while they drive it, they will say they dont know whats wrong.
i have a code reader now so im waiting for it to happen again. but i think the code reader might give me the wrong code.

anyone have an idea whats going on?

 

If the engine doesn't stalls and the guage lights goes on and off intermittent, there maybe a loose connection or a faulty underdash fusebox.
