Poll of the AEM CAIs.
With the emergence of the new AEM CAI V2, there is a big controversy about whether the new V2 is worth the extra cash over the original AEM CAI. I would like to get some response from ppl.
Arguments that can be made by ppl supporting the original AEM CAI:
The AEM CAI is not something that will give you 100 hp gain or 100 ft lbs of torque to the wheels. The extra cost of the V2 over the original is definitely not worth spending, for the small amount of hp gains u get over the original AEM CAI.
Arguments that can be made by ppl supporting the New V2:
The new V2 is dyno proven to give more power and torque gains over the original aem cai. New technology is definitely worth spending the extra 50 dollars or so over the AEM CAI. A small gain is still a gain, and the gain over the original aem cai is worth the extra cost.
Which side do you guys take?? Thanks.

The V2 is like a hundred damn bucks more... UGH! Although I would like one... Most likely I'm not putting an intake on this car anyways... I'll wait till I get a faster car before I put more performance mods into anything. IMO though, because I know there are a lot of these ppl on this forum, there needs to be "Cheap Generic Intake/ K&N Filter" up there somewhere.

i have an AEM intake ... the V2 sounds great in all, but buying another intake is something that isn't on my "to do" list.
if i were in the market for an intake, the V2 would be on the top of my list.

althou I have an AEM CAI, i would choose a AEM CAI knockoff if I could do it all over again. No way in hell I'm spending over 200, close to 300 bucks for a v2 intake... I'd rather get the prelude 2.75/3" piping intake if I wanted high end HP gains.
What I'd like to see is a comparison between say 5th gen accord AEM v2 CAI, vs v1 CAI, vs using a AEM 4th gen lude 2.75" CAI and a AEM 5th gen lude 3" CAI.

, don't have a car to throw one on other than g/f's RSX-S so I have no opinion.
