:fawk: besides that?

Aside from stepping on the gas, should I let off near redline for it to shift or just keep it there until it does.

Push down on the loud pedal.

You could maybe torque brake a little...but there are a lot of opinions out there on this. Just mashing the gas will be about as good as any.

Have fun.

Well if I were driving an auto... I'd start it out in first... then shift to second, then to drive the rest of the way, heh. I don't have any first-hand experience with this, but I know a guy that has an auto and shifts like that and has beaten some manuals, so who knows...

This is an organization thing, so we're all paying $10 to go in anyways, so I might as well pay the additional $5 to see how my car does. Thats not the problem, lol, most if not all those cars in there are much faster than mine, the problem will be figuring who I'll line up with since noones in my "special" class. :dunno:
Does anyone know if my car has a rev limiter? I've never wanted to test but have been past redline by maybe 200rpm before. So had it not activated yet at that time?

I start my auto in D3 and then shift to D4. works for me in the informal stoplight drags.

no use shifting to d4, unless u can go over 100 in the 1/4 :P

when u used to race my auto accord, i would brake torque slightly and shift manually around 6400

dont forget to take out ur jack and spare tire, and dont run more than a 1/4 of gas. take a dump too

I think they're going bowling now. You should still go for that. =)
