some models may have used either manufacturer (no way to tell from DX/LX/EX I4/V6 trim line alone) depending on month of manufacture and which factory the car was assembled at. there is no audible difference - both are built to the same specs. one side can be replaced with the opposite manufacturer without causing uneven sound.

this is straight outta the honda parts catalog here at the dealership. none of the 03 accord models use 6.5 in the back, though 6.5 speakers can easily be mounted there using an adaptor plate available at most auto sound stores.

yea when i took out the 6x9s from my coupe, they were crappy Pioneers. so i replaced them with the best Pioneers out there

And I really hope they do that because the display is big enough for all of that info. Just like when they introduced the TL in 2000, it had no fog lights, and then in 2001 that option appeared. You're right, they do know what they are doing when they make these cars, and they are trying to maximize the profit that they make. Why else would they have templates for things like lights and stuff, and not utilize it until later years?
