whats the differences btw the lx and ex engine and exterior for the 6th gen accords..pref 99's.....thanks

 

the engines are the same If im not mistaking, not too sure about any difference in exterior.

 

Engines are now the same but you can get the I4 or the V6... diff usually are option of leather, sunroof, diff dash kit i think... hrmm im not an expert but its just small things like that. Oh and diff rims i think.

 

engines are the same
EX has alloys. LX has steelies with hub caps
EX has painted side moldings. LX has black moldings
EX has a sunroof. LX doesnt
EX has 4wheel disc brakes. LX has front disc and rear drum

i think thats about it. i'm sure theres some other little things but those are the big things you notice

 

The LX does have painted door moldings. It's had to distinguish between the LX and EX, but there are pretty substantial differences. The DX is pretty easy to spot because it has black door handles, mirrors and door trim. The DX also has a non-VTEC engine and does not come standard with air conditioning.

EX also has:

- side airbags
- ABS
- 6-disc in dash CD changer
- Keyless entry
- painted side skirts (LX has black side skirts)

 

not the 99's. the LX's have black side moldings from 98-00. the 01-02 has paint matched moldings. plus the 01-02 has the 6-disc in dash changer. not the 99. no side airbags on the 99 EX. i did miss the keyless entry. i thought the LX had ABS too. i could be wrong

correct. rear drums on the LX and DX

 

I stand corrected, forgot they changed the packages around for the mid-cycle refresh.
