Default side marker power wire?

hey!

i'm about to install the side markers for my ride and was wondering what type of wire i should use for them.

i've been thinking about just using the speaker wire that came with the alpine 6.5 speakers.... how does that sound? would it be safe or ???

please advise!
thanks

Yea that would work, but I would suggest just going to an auto store and getting some red power wire, the speaker wire will work but over the years it might tend to break down since it might be exposed in some places under the hood....

Um, what's the difference? They both use soft plastic jackets. The only potential problem is using the wrong size of wire, but side markers draw so little current, I would think using 22-guage or better should be fine.

Automotive wire has a thicker jacket on it than the speaker wire has.....

Mm, yeah you're right. I still probably wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you're running it through your wheel well or right next to a part that gets hot. But then maybe I'd be scratching my head in a few months wondering why the bulb isn't working. :chuckles:
