Default Frickin Windshield Wipers!

Ok...I've had about enough of my wipers ...I don't know what I'm doing wrong...but they skip and sound hella annoying ...Can anyone give me some advice or tips on how to get the wipers to work normally again? Is it because the spring that applies pressure to the windshield is wearing down? Anyone else ever have this problem? Am I buying the wrong type of wiper blades?

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR SOLUTIONS WOULD BE GREAT!

When was the last time you replace the windshield wipers?

If they skip and chatter along the windshield, and your blades are new, chances are you need new wiper arms. The tension does wear out. I had to replace them on my old '90 Accord. They weren't too expensive, the local Advance Auto Parts ordered them for me.

Thanks for the input. The last time I replaced the wipers was December...it was fine for a while...then started skipping and chattering. Not sure why. Is there a way to tell for sure if I need new wiper arms?

Get rain-ex, it helps. Actually you don't even need wipers with that stuff on.

rain-x ownz, but they make you wipers less effective (but u wont need to use them much). if you've taken off your wiper arms b4, make sure theyre re-installed properly (u kno theyre kinda tricky to torque down rite if youve ever tried to take em off). if anything, try some oem wiper blades (~$3 from online parts stores)

Hmm...all seems like good ideas...I've actually tried Rain X before...the stuff is AMAZING. Didn't know it makes wipers less effective. Anyhow...I'll re-torque them down. One quick question...could my skip/chattering be due to worn wiper blades? Or do worn wiper blades just make crappy streaky wipes?

Rain-X is great. I use it on my rear window especially, for backing up at night + rain with no rear wiper = hard to see.
