Default Accord check engine light

What's the scoop on the Accord check engine light? Has there been a re-call I'm not aware of?!?! I've had the catalytic converter replaced, the light stayed off for about 10 miles and then came back on. They reset it, it stayed off for about 10 miles and came back on. They moved the front oxygen sensor, the light stayed off for about a week and then came back on. What's up with this thing?!? Should I worry about it? I've already spent several hundred dollars on this and would like to get it resolved. I went by the Accord service center and they tell me that it's probably the catalytic converter, that only the $1000 Honda brand cats will work on my car.......huh? Any help would be appreciated!

1) Tighten fuel cap
2) If it doesn't work, new cat or ECU time.

Yeppers. It's a pressure thing, I think. When you tighten it, make sure it clicks three times. There's all kinds of crazy stuff that can trip the CEL. I just took mine into the dealer yesterday because after an accident, mine came on. The problem on mine was that the Canister Vent Shut Valve came off when I ran over the deer. I didn't even know I had one of those!

I still can't get over the fact you hit deer with both your cars. Crazy! How far out of Columbus do you live?

mine always comes on and disables VTEC. worst part is the CEL is for "General fuel system fault", of which covers just about EVERYTHING under the hood.
