depends on how rusted the pipes are behind your cat. If they're pretty rusted, its gonna be hard to get off so you might need a blow torch of some kind to get it off. After that...its smooth sailing. I had mine installed at Mobil gas station for 45 bucks. Took them 10 mins since it was direct fit. Remember to floor your car while on neutral to spit out all that dirty carbon from the cat through the exhaust. The EVO is LOUD when you first drive around, then it'll quiet down after a few drives.

just grease the hangers and bolts with wd-40. take off all the bolts, then take off the muffler 1st. you need a good 2.5 ton jack with atleast a 2' lift to work under the car.

dont spend 45 bucks to get an exhaust put on. thats ridiculous. its one of the easiest things to do to a car. the hardest bolts to get are the ones by the catalytic convertor (there are 3), and the only reason they are hard is because they are in tight spaces and will most likely be a little rusted. just loosen everything, and take the exaust off piece by piece. it takes two people to make it easy. once the stock exhaust is taken off, lay out the GReddy to see where everything will go. and put the new system on. its very simple. you may learn a lil if you try. dont go to a muffler shop.

tsk tsk....... damn....i dunno about u but my fun of modding car is so i get to do them not pay someone to do the most fun part. You bought it, so you install it. Installing exhaust is simple as 1, 2, 3. Even easier than intake install. Just take apart and put in new. Ive seen tons of newbies install exhaust and they all figured out everything as they went. Its not rocket science, its just common sense. Next time, install them yourself. It will be a really good experience.

i know i could do it myself, but it's cold right now and today is my day off, i just wanted to relax, besides i don't have a torch and have no car stands, plus i didn't want to struggle taking it off myself under neath the car with just a jack!

you should go buy a jack, pair of jackstands. They will mos def pay for themselves. You use it for almost every regularly scheduled maintence you do to the car. You dont need a blow torch. I just spray wd-40 and let it soak overnight and the next day, its easy off. Anyhoo, i understand you. Sometimes, i wanna relax and hold off on the car, esp when its cold.....
