Default '03 Accord HID lightbulb replacement?

My wife drives an '03 Accord EX-L 4 banger (sedan). I've been looking online for instructions on how to replace the stock bulbs to HID bulbs/balasts setup.

Anyone know where I can get some info on that?

Buy a kit, hook it up. It's a very easy process, plug and play, the whole install shouldn't take anymore than 30-45 minutes. I got mine from www.proxenon.com Good quality kit, good price, and simple install.

Thanks for the reply v6master. i did hear that installation is very difficult on the '03s due to the way the housing is designed. has anyone tried replacing theirs on an '03?

The install on an 03 model should be no harder than the 6th gen. The only part you have to worry about with the headlight housing is putting the bulb in, just like replacing a regular bulb. The rest is just mounting the ballasts and plugging everything in.

The 03 Accord engine bay will make mounting your ballast a bit tricky since the left side will put the ballast near your timing belts and stuff and left side is cramped with little room. This is after looking at my friends 03 EX sedan.

I would suggest taking off the front bumper and mounting them down there, thus the ballasts would be away from engine heat and there would be ample space to mount them. I had the same problem with my 6th gen, nowhere too great to mount them under the hood, so I removed them bumper and mounted them there, found two great spaces under each headlamp assembly.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about the install, it'll be a piece of cake. My wife has a 7th gen V6 coupe and I studied the engine bay, and I can't see why an HID install would be any harder than it would be on any previous gen accord.
