Default Question about buying a car...?

Hi,

I'm helping my friend buy a new car... He wants something relatively sporty, and he kinda likes my Accord. He has 5-6k as a budget, and so far we have been looking at 94-97 Accords, 95-98 Civics, 94-96 Integras, and maybe even a 94-96 Prelude... We test drove that 240SX but I'm really pushing him to get a Honda, although we are open to any other suggestions. It will definitely be modded i/h/e and sound system. Any Suggestions? And we were wondering... for something quick w/ good handling... what is better between the Accord and the Civic, because it will prolly end up being one of those two.

Thanks,
John

sell him your car and buy the 240. can you say SR20DET swap:thumbup:

anyways a civic is lighter and tons more parts are available so handling wise it would be better, but accords can still handle great if done right.

tell him to get a 94-95 accord, he can pick one of those up for 5-6k no problem. If he gets a civic at least make sure he gets a SI. Just tell him that the accord is more comfortable, and the interior is alot more luxurious. IMO civics are to small inside.

I would say tell him to get a lude or accord screw the civic. Have fun car shopping with your buddy.

Yeh he can't afford an SI, it would be an EX... But I think we are leaning more towards a 5th Gen. Accord, because of the HP. But is a ~96 Civic EX as fast as a ~96 Accord EX?.. because of the less weight.

Does he want to do mods, or does he just want a fast, sporty ride?

i/h/e will be done... along with rims, lighting, sound... maybe ignition, but nothing like turbo or N2O.
