Default Need help with a brake problem.

This has been going on for about a year now.

I am new to this forum. I have a 2004 honda coupe ex v6.

Last fall, I changed my brake pads because I got the warning indicator however, I didn't replace or resurface my rotors.

two weeks ago, I did another brake change, this time with new pads from Honda and after market rotors on the front. Following all the instructions from the shop manual, I installed the pads. Load and behold, after the brakes were warmed up, they gave me the same squeal. I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

Could this be related to Soft Brake Peddle?

check if the dust deflector is rubbing on the back of the rotor.

also tell me, does this squeel happens only@ braking or all the time?

did you lube your contact points for your parts?

I used anti squeal on my first brake pad change and it didn't help

The squeal occurs when I slow down from 40 MPH and above. Sometimes it happens when I slow down from 30 to 25 miles per hour

I also did use the mollykote m77 grease that was supposed to be used as the honda shop manual dictated.

noise is probably coming from somewhere else. did you do front and back brakes or is it just the fronts?

I've only been doing front brake pad changes because last Fall when I checked the backs, they had plenty of pads left and it was harder to get the calibers back on the rotors.

How would a wheel bearing be causing this squealling noise? The noise I've been hearing is the sound of the wearing indicator. With the anti-squeal paste, I hear the noise only sometimes but right now, sometimes I hear it as if the pads need to changed because they don't have life left.

However, when I took it to the dealer, the said had enough pad life and I installed everything correctly. I am not sure whether they did a through job. Also, they couldn't hear the noise when they tried to reenact the problem.

I heard that many people were able to solve my problem with not using OEM pads which are on their right now. I did aftermarkets on my first pad change so I don't know whether getting another set would do anything except waste money.

The brakes squeal when ever I slow down from 40 MPH and higher. It sometimes happens when I am slowing down from 25-30 MPH.

Would big brand name rotors and pads make a difference than the OEMs? I have been hearing this alot lately.

rears are probably not adjusted properly so most of the braking are done by the front brakes making pad noise and overheats the rotors.

solution: cut front rotor and new quiet stop brake pad (raybestos)

clean and adjust rear as close to 4 clicks on the ebrake (do you know how to do this)?
