Default Tire Sizes

Ok, I had 215/45-17 toyo's on my wheels for the summer... but my negative camber took its toll on the tires... so now I need new ones.

How much of a difference in size would a 215/50-17 tire be? I ask cause my friend works at Acura, and he says that they are always throwing away good sets of tires that still have plenty of life in them, which I can get a hold of very easily. I know that particuluar michelin (MXV-4 plus?) tire isnt the greatest... but i'm not autocrossing or drag racing my car either.

Anyone know of a site that has a tire size calculator or anything? Something that will give the actual circumference of the outside of the tire so I can compare it to my stock tires and the 215/45's I had.

Thanks!
