HELP - weird noise
I have a 2001 Accord v6 EX couple.
I need some help in trying to figure out what this weird unknown sound is. Basically if i was to try to describe the sound that i am hearing its like buzzing, humming sound....something almost when loading and unload a CD in the STOCK 6 CD in dash charger...or more closely its the sound of your climate control when u change the temperatures etc (like a lil electric motor).
I have warranty and I took the car into the dealer. They found some problems with my car with me speculating what the problem was....the found out that my driver side lock motor needed to be replaced and the climate control gate was also not functioning properly. (All free due to warranty again.)
However I thought the problem was corrected, but I guess not.
Basically you can hear the sound when the car is off. I hear it when it is quiet, not much outside noise, when detailing the car from the inside. My mom on occasions when doing the laudry can hear it also (outside of the car) when the car is parked inside the garage near her and the laundry machines (thats how loud it is.)
And also JsmithJr (a fellow AV6.com member) also heard it on a late evening when we exchange $$ for his AEM SR. He was just standing next to my car.
Please try to give me some guesses on what you think it could be... because the Honda Service Advisor doesn't know what I am talkin about.... i mean I tell him that he needs to like leave the car off locked etc, and sit there for a few minutes and he can hear it (but the service center is too loud that he prolly wont be able to hear it).....the noise periodically occurs every few minutes also sigh.

Sorry, I have no idea. Is there a specific area where the sound is coming from (where it is loudest)?

Thats the problem....I can't seem to pinpoint the sound. I mean the noise is noticeable from inside and outside the vehicle (if you are next to it that is.)
I was told that it kinda sounded like from the rear of the car. But overall I myself can come to that conclusion because I just like out of no-where.
Another person on the www.accordv6.com site also has the same problem and he too can't figure it out.
I just want to fix it while I still have the car under warranty.

Can someone with a Helms or Haynes manual check to see if there are any electrical motorized parts in the rear of the car? I have noticed that in the trunk there is this TDK (familiar lookin computer part brand) in between the rear speakers...can someone tell me what that is?

My 2000 Accord EX V6 does the same exact thing all the time when it is off. I sounds like an electric motor. Could be the following.
1. Electric fuel pump ? I or is it too loud and you would hear it while the car is running.
2. ABS motor ? Don't know a thing about it.
