Default 6th gen stereo removal

Do you lose any functionality if you remove the factory stereo in a 6th gen? I just got my ride back from the bodyshop, and they reset the ECU, and I don't have the code for my stereo. If I'm going to take my head unit out to get the serial numbers, I'm just putting an aftermarket in while I'm in there. I just wanted to make sure this isn't going to disable my keyless entry or anything, as I know sometimes crazy stuff like that happens.

thanks

check the coin pocket thingy thats on the drivers side right by the door. pull it out all the way and look on the bottom, there should be a serial code on there.

I thought I lost mine once and went back to the original dealer and they wanted to charge me $25 to look it up. But I did some major searching and found it. If you know where your car was originally sold maybe you can just call them with a VIN #.
