Default phantom grip LSD

Has anyone put a Phantom grip LSD in there tranny or can anyone vouche for how they work ? Are they reliable, do they work like theres supposed to. Cause I was going to get a LSD h22 tranny but, the shop is having a hard time finding one, so I was thinking of just having the shop throw a phantom grip LSD in my 5 speed tranny and bam LSD tranny =).

Lemme know what you guyz think. I wanna get my car up and running already haha. Plus those LSDs are only like $300 so not bad at all.

phantom grip is pure crap, they have been known to break and ruin transmissions, try to find a h22 one with a factory lsd or spend the 800+ for a quaife

yea.....all the ppl above is right. My friend got rid of the Phantom grip lsd a month after he bought it. It got fixed 2 times within the first month and he felt that his tranny was being affected so he sold it. Qualife is what he has now. He dont complain, so im assuming that its good. No phantom grip.

thats not true there have been more than a few happy customers with phantom grip lsd's

sport compact car for one they used it in there project car and they liked it

redcivic from this board said this about it
. I added the Phantom Grip LSD to my LS tranny and it works just as well as the OEM LSD in my stock B16A hydro tranny (which I still have).

in this forum
https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...t=phantom+grip

and my friend tyrus liked his so much that i decided to get one for my hatch but im now forced to sell my car and the phantom grip(never installed still in box)

i think its funny how i hear people complaining about products but supply no proof other than "there buddy had problems" and "i heard they are crap blah blah blah..."

ive read a couple posts of people bashing phantom grip saying how it destroyed their friends trannys but never show pictures or offer any proof that it was installed properly

hell no one even really shows if they ever really owned a phantom grip unit

i know that if i speant my hard eaned dollar on a product that not only didnt do what was advertised but damaged another part on my iwould be on every website bashing the product until i got some reperations

instead of casually telling a friend and them mentioning it later on a chat board

any way if your interested i have mine still and it fits all accords 92-96(except v6)
let me know

mike

ps. i know my opinion may sound biased because im selling one
but i have no way of influencing the opinions of redcivic or sport compact car among many other but this is just to name a few

You made a good post, but check it out man. Alot of what you hear from other people is how you make your decision. IE- if you friends came home and said don't go see "blah blah movie title" it was the worst fuc*ing movie ive ever seen. Would you go watch it ? Why not learn from someone elses mistakes so you don't have to waste your money ? That is what these messages boards are all about, you find out from other people that have gone through it instead of wasting money on ****ting products and being stuck with them.

well my point was noone has yet to post any 1st hand experience

so i went and posted alittle
i did the research myself before buying my unit
thats why i got it
but unfortunately i was unable to test mine
like i said ive gone on to another project

and if the situation was as you stated
"- if you friends came home and said don't go see "blah blah movie title" it was the worst fuc*ing movie ive ever seen. Would you go watch it ?"
i probably wouldnt

but given the situation here
someone telling you that they heard it was the worst movie
thats hearsay and doesnt even hold up in a court of law

perfect example
my girlfriend at the time told me that her friend absolutaly hated the matrix
now i knew that her friend was someone i didnt get along with anyway so i didnt listen to her advice good thing for me because i then wouldve missed out on seeing one of my all time favorite movies in the theatre

now i cant reall compre the phantom grip to the matrix

but like i said before sport compact car used and reviewed the PG unit in thier project civic and they liked it and said...
well i cant find the issue right now but im being lazy i think i found a buyer for it already
ayway they pictured the 2 lines from burning out to show that unit worked and said it was a good deal
