I noticed the other day that my drivers side tire has some play in it when I pulled in and out at 12 oclock. It looks like it is coming from teh upper ball joint. Anybody know how ciritcal that is to fix ... or can it wait a little while. Any suggestion on sources for parts.

I would always fit a loose ball joint as soon as possible, if it breaks you could hurt yourself or others.
