car is turning off

When I drive under 25mph the car feel like is going to turn off unless I give it more gas and today at a red light the car stalled, and the check engine light came on.
I am guessing the transmission is shot again.

Tranny shot? Id look at how the idle was set :P Does it die while in neutral?

That doesn't sound like a transmission issue although I could be wrong. If the CEL was on after it stalled, it should have stored a code.
