Default Thermostat?

Hey...I was driving the other day..And some asshole made me swearve into a curb which caused my engine to start heating up. I looked under my hood. I was running low on radiator fluid. I put some more in, it was fine for a day. But now my car is heating up a lot to where the needle in the gauge is in the red zone. So now I cant drive my car. Do you think it would be the thermostat? I was thinking of ordering a mugen one. would a Prelude Mugen thermostat fit into my car thanks..

Have you checked your coolant since you refilled? If it's gone down, you're in for some problems because you're either leaking it, or burning it. Also, make sure your radiator fan is turning on when it starts warming up. Since it started after a slight accident, I'd have your coolant system checked by a professional. Also, drive it as little as possible in this condition. Overheating can do horrible horrible things to your engine. If I were you, I would just drive it straight to a shop and have someone check it out, if you're not sure what the problem is.

I recently had a problem with radiator, my opinion is take it directly to a shop, dont even question it, not worth the risk.
