Patriot Tires ???
Sorry for the O/T but can anyone please tell me about the Patriot brand of tire? I found a set of rims with Patriot Viper Radials and would like to know how good these tires are. Thanks in advance.
I don't know, all I do know is that I've never heard of them making it more likely than not that they are a generic brand and you should stay away from putting them on rims. I'm considering the fast you're lokking into performance tires...?

generic brand tires would only be good for a beater car or when selling car, but i'd rather have a name brand for my performance tires.

Kingseth, I also live in NY, and have a total of $800 invested in tires...I have a used set of Blizzak MZ-02's (200 bucks, used only 6k miles) and new Potenza S-03's. To say that the MZ-02's provide an extra level of confidence and fun in the winter is a definite understatement...I feel as if I can go through anything with these tires, and I have. The S-03's are absolutely incredible, as the level of every single performance charachteristic increases dramatically compared to the stock Michelins. I cannot believe how well they handle, corner, brake, and accelerate...not even mentioning their road feel and their relatively good comfort. Of course it all depends on your budget, but I would suggest investing in some good tires before you invest in anything else for your car, unless you just wanna make it look good...tires make an incredible difference in the vehicle's dynamics and charachteristics.
hell yeah on the snow tires, the special ice tires can also save your life. I run the dunlop graspic ds-1s and man they suck on dry pavement, but give me some snow and their great. the mz-02s kickass also parents have them on their V6 coupes.

Actually I am just looking for all season tires. They would be mounted on 16" OEM Acura rims to fit on my 98 Accord 4cyl. I wanted to know about these tires because purchasing new one's would be rather expensive at this point. But thanks for all the input.
