I dont know about the EX accords, but the Special edition 97 Accords have sunroofs that only slide in and not tilt up. Anyone do some kind of modification to there Special Edition Accord to make it tilt up? Thanks

 

Since it is a completely different mechanism you are talking about exchanging sunroofs.....not the cheapest thing in the world to do and usually involves some cutting as well.

 

all 5th gen stock moonroofs are like yours. No tilt.

 

The EX moonroof is the same way. Kinda sucks...

A CL moonroof may fit... they are the same size... it'd probably just be a matter of swapping the glass and the drive system. I have yet to try it, but its something I want to do.

 

Yea, It's seems like alot of work and was just wondering if anyoen has done it yet.

 

someone on here had put an integra moonroof in his 5th gen... the type that tilts up and then slides back on top of the roof... looked really nice... he cut the whole roof out of the Integra I guess and swapped in into the accord.

A CL moonroof would be just a matter of swapping the glass and motor system... then you'll gain the tilt feature.

 

what's the big deal with tilting? seems like a waste of money to swap for that

the 1st gen CL either tilts up, like a "vent"... or drops down and slides back into the roof...
