94-97 4cyl CAI
I saw a couple of these on Ebay a few weeks ago but I forgot the make.. It is the ones that have the square type air filter that mounts in front of the radiator behind the lower part of the bumper. Do any of you have these and are they any better than the others? How is it affected by water when it rains and does the plexiglass cover help or be used while driving?
it is an aerospeed intake. www.accordstore.com look in the intake section. I here they work pretty good but it makes it look like you have an intercooler. I say go with Injen or try the new AEM V2.
personally, i think these "front mount intakes" are wannabe intercoolers. kinda ricey, but hey its your car, your money.
performance-wise, i would think that they are a lil better than traditional cold air intakes because of the filter location. but again, there is the risk of water getting into it like you said. covering the filter with pexiglass would kinda defeat the purpose of getting one because it would cover the filter...
if i were, just get a regular CAI, no need to get one of these.

that fake intercooler intake doesn't take in as much air since there's a pexi on the front of it to block dirt and rocks from tearing holes in the filter which blocks incoming air. It's pretty much all show and no go, juss stick with the AEM CAI v2 or Injen Race division
The regular AEM CAI is the same damn thing - they are just trying to make more money. Either way, everyone is telling someone to get the V2 now, honestly just get a pipe and a filter, the main part of the intake is the filter.
