A while back I started to get this wierd noise from the front of the car. It sounds like some loose metalic part that's spinning. now for some reason right when I step on the throttle the car makes this knocking noise. It only does it when I'm in gear though. Sometimes when I release the clutch to get the car going I get that sound too. Anyone know whats wrong w/ the car? THe cars a 98 accord i4 5 spd w/ 60k

 

change timing belt and water pump
check your tranny. I have never heard this before and this is a new one for me.

 

Mine also makes this sound some times. Its usually only when Im accelerating quickly. It sounds like there is something loose in the brakes/axle. Im not sure though. Someone said that it was from the axles being put on too tightly.
