Default 98 Accord Dash Lights

My aunt is having some issues with her 98 accord. All the dash lights(bat/brake/maint) light up and won't turn off. The car drives fine. Any help would be great.

Thank you.

the alternator is not chargeing get it home and park it as the car is running on battery only and will stop running when it's drained!

Just talked to my aunt and she took it to pepboys and they tested the alternator and battery, both are fine. Anything else I can have her check?

Thank you.

Yes, all the dash lights were on when they checked everything. Pepboys is the only auto shop around her area. Is there something else they could be checking?

Default It could be a bad/loose earth

If the earth for the dash lights is loose the power can sometimes feed through the bulbs they would normally be slightly dim. It could be a blown component on the dash or a short feeding power in to the dash circuit.

It is possible that the alternator is faulty but still charging, it will not show full voltage at 1200 rpm, you should get nearly 14v on a healthy alternator but if one of the diodes has blown it will not get to 13v

when the battery, ebrake and the safety indicators with the car doors open stay on its somthing to do with a issue with the alternator or wireing to it. The maintanence light might be on because it's due for service. I would recommend a place that has mechanics that are not just oil changers.
