Default Rough Gear Shifting

Does this always happen with Hondas?

I have an automatic and when my car switches from 1st to 2nd gear its like a jolt, not real smooth at all.

What do you guys think?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I hate watching my passengers heads snap forward and back when it goes from 1st to 2nd

Haha..

Yeah it is a rough ride though seriously. Especially from 1st gear to 2nd. 3rd to 4th is a big deal.

its perfectly normal, read your owners manual... it says the transmission is desgined to save on fuel, and is a "positive shift transmission" and that you will feel the car shift...... and yes i got my tranny fluid flushed = no difference.

my gosh, how smooth do you want it? Did u ever think of what your tranny is actually doing "automatically"? Its transferring a high amount of torque to a different gear while trying to keep you in constant motion without alot of jolt. Mine doesnt "JOLT"...it kinda "slides". I dont have any complaints at all about mine!
