So when do people think that they are going to be more readily available? Just curious- i'm not familiar with the way new car releases work...

Honestly, no one really knows for sure. Some say it's to keep supply and demand at a tight gap for a sought after car like the six speed AV6 will be. Others say only the initial shippment will be one per dealer untill Honda has a feel for the demand on the car. Keep in mind, last year, over 80% of new vehicles sold in the U.S. had an automatic transmission. The ludicrous part of that is that it is exactly the opposite in Europe. So Honda may want to get their feet wet first, so to speak. As for myself, I love this Accord, but if I can't find one, or they are gouging the sticker, the Acura dealer across the street from my Honda dealer usually has 1-2 CL-S six speeds in stock all the time. Usually in a color I like. I'm just biding my time.

You're probably right. Sounds logical.

I think the dealer is smart. Look at what happened to the Civic SI. No one wants them the dealers have been dropping the price. I don't think their as good as the old SI's when I test drove it with my friend who was considering buying one. But there's no big woop for that car and it's not a bad ride. Now they have to discount them to get rid of them. If he lets people try it out, especially enthusiasts, he'll hype it up to all of us who will in turn drool a little for it. It keeps the car in site of the consumers/enthusiasts. Soon (in a year) there be plenty to go around and we'll be like, "yeah!" and go running for it.

Good review. What I wouldn't give to have a chance at a Manual Six when I bought my car.

I like the idea of a V6 and a 6-speed, but I prefer the 6th generation styling hands down.

cool stuff but stupid dealer.
I disagree. From a marketing perspective he is a very probable future buyer, especially if he likes the car and was "treated" to a pretty exclusive test drive.

In the car business you got to be selling all the time - even when it's not to an immediate buyer.
just my 2 cents
